Back to films.

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have appeared together in many films. In fact, Big B has also played the role of narrator in many of his son’s films! He has also played the role of Abhishek Bachchan’s father in films like Sarkar, Sarkar Raaj, and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. The role reversed in Paa.

My question is: In which film did Bachchan Sr play the Abhishek’s grandfather?

Meanwhile, here is something interesting. Try and find Bachchan Sr from this group photograph taken in his school.

amitabh

Another arbitrary piece of trivia about the Bachchan Family surname. It was originally Srivastav, but Big B’s father Harivansh Rai used ‘Bachchan’ as his pen name. Amitabh simply continued the tradition and adopted it as his surname when he came into films. Apparently, he was told in his initial years that he was too tall to be a hero!!

Lots of answers, and all correct! This was a really easy one!

The film is Delhi 6, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Sharma. As for the photo, look at this link give by Rajiv.

  1. The film is "Delhi 6" in which Amitabh Bachchan had a brief role of Abhisekh's grandfather. He first appeared in a photograph when Waheeda Rehman refers to him as her husband and towards the end when when Abhisekh was having a near death experience.
Amitabh is 7th from left in the first standing row by the side of the Sikh student with dark turban.
