An easy one, actually.

The good people at Warner Brothers often used standardised drawing features to create characters with similar behavioural patterns. Shown above is the standard for wacky, naughty characters. Some of them, like Screwy/Screwball Squirrel (bottom left), are easily recognisable. Which much loved character is blotted out?

Till date, only one person has refused the Bharat Ratna, and only once has a person’s Bharat Ratna award been withdrawn. These are two separate incidents, mind you. All you have to tell me is the names of these two individuals, and why was it withdrawn in one instance, and refused in the other.

Try this.

Soldiers have to fight in various inhospitable terrains, making it impossible to take baths for days at an end. Besides, any tight clothes or strong fabric around the raw area, coupled with sweat, could lead to rashes and infections in the groin area. Something that soldiers do to avoid these rashes and other afflictions has given rise to a phrase. What is the phrase? Hint: Neetu Chandra was the latest to be embroiled in a controversy involving the phrase.

X has decidedly Indian origins, but became more famous by the name given to Leonardo of Pisa, who studied it as a model to determine what the number of rabbits would be after a certain period of time if initially there were only two rabbits, that rabbits gave birth every month, have a gestation period of one month, never died, and reached maturity to reproduce within one month of birth.

Interestingly, although the Indian branch of mathematics dealing with X was developed around 200BC, and Leonardo explored this problem in 1202AD, Leonardo’s name is the more famous one here.

Identify X. Happy quizzing, and have a nice life, folks!

A few things are obvious. The reason given for the change shown above was conformity with the latest fashion trends. However, if one adheres to the ‘playscale’, these changes were absolutely necessary. What are we talking about?

PS: Yesterday, it was 1.4 degrees Celsius here!

Will try to make it easier this time.

We all know that Dumbledore, from the Harry Potter series of books, is gay. At least JKR has admitted to it. My question is, which person, from the cast of the Harry Potter films, is openly homosexual? Given the ‘relationship’ of his character with Dumbledore in the stories, it would make for a beautiful conspiracy theory!

Happy quizzing, and have a nice life, folks!

PS: Just survived 2.6 degrees yesterday!

Looks like this one was a toughie too! Two answers, and only Partho da got it correct! It’s obviously Govinda, the actor, and here’s why:

1. His nickname Chi Chi means little finger in Punjabi.
2. Dancing became his obsession after viewing Saturday Night Fever, the virtue which he exploited early in his film career.
3. The name of Govinda's daughter is Narmada Ahuja. (That is the logo of Narmada Bachao Andolan. Related to the river, not the daughter. ;) )
4. He is a member of Indian National Congress and he won the Lok Sabha elections on Congress's ticket.
