The rest of you got it correct. This is the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park in Gujarat. The film, obviously, is Lagaan, which is set in Champaner.

    Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park - "Lagaan" India's entry to 2002 Oscars, story is set in the town of Champaner.

    Its the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park.
    And the Movie Lagaan was based in the Champaner of British India.
