Cracked! The answer is indeed Angad ‘Gavasinder Singh’ Bedi, son of former Indian bowler Bishen Singh Bedi. He was born when Sunil Gavaskar was decimating the opposition in the 1971 Trinidad test, and so Bishen named him Gavasinder after his colleague! That was later changed. Angad Bedi hosted the first season of Emotional Atyachaar, and also played Prithviraj Chauhan in a television serial about the king.
Bishan Singh Bedi named his first son Gavasinder Singh Bedi in tribute to Sunil Gavaskar's heroics at Trinidad in 1971. Gavasinder was born during the Test match.His younger son Angad Bedi hosted Emotional Atyachar on UTV Bindass before being replaced by Pravesh Rana.
