QR – Cure – Quizzing Realms – 9

Here’s another connect question, and an easy one. This can be googled, but only intelligent googling will solve the problem.

A

the-magnificent-seven-1-800

B

Fearfilmposter

C

 the-godfather

D

man_on_fire

E

reservoir_dogs_art_01

It’s a pretty easy connect, once you know which direction to move in. And think outside Hollywood. That’s the hint.

Happy quizzing, and have a nice life, folks!

Cracked by Paddy aka Padmanabhan Pillai and asherxai aka Akhil.

All these films, when remade in Hindi, starred Amitabh Bachchan in them. Look in the comments for a detailed reply. The Answerers have done an extremely good job of providing a lot of trivia!

  1. This was a Simple one (If I am correct). The connect would be "Amitabh Bachchan".
"The Magnificent Seven" inspired movie was "Sholay" which had Mr. Bachchan in one of the lead roles.
"Fear" was remade in Hindi twice, one of them was "Aetbaar" where Mr. Bachchan played a key role.
"Man on Fire" inspired the Hindi movie "Ek Ajnabee", again Mr. Bachchan in lead.
"Reservoir Dogs" was made in Hindi as "Kaante", Mr. Bachchan in one of the lead roles.

  2. Forgot to mention GODFATHER. Godfather was the inspiration to many Hindi movies, including Mani Ratnam's Nayagan. There is also a Rajinikanth-Aamir Khan movie named "Aatank hi Aatank" (Which Aamir claims is his worst film ever) which was inspired by Godfather.
Amitabh Bachchan starred in a Hindi movie named SARKAR which was a remake of GODFATHER
