A straight one for the day, and no pics.

In the Sunderbans forest area, people looking for a living in the forests use a mask in a unique way to ward off tiger attacks. What do they do with it, and why?

Happy quizzing, and have a nice life, folks!

Four answers, and all correct!

These people wear the masks on the back of their heads to ward off tigers who tend to attack men from behind them.

  1. They wear the masks on the back of their heads. It is believed that tigers attack only from the rear end, and thus this will stop them from attacking.

  2. Tigers have a tendency to attack from behind. To prevent this people who earn a livelihood in the Sunderbans wear the mask on their face with the mask facing backwards covering the backside of the head. This makes the tiger think that the man is watching him.

  3. people travelling in groups with the last person in line wears a mask with bold eyes wide-open staring backwards to ward off the risk of any attack. This reduces the tiger's ability to stalk the men because it appears is if the human is looking in both directions

  4. They wear it behind their heads. A tiger attacks (or is believed to attack) only when the prey isn't facing it. By wearing it behind their heads, they convey the impression that they are facing a tiger that might be stalking them from behind.
