These guys:

1. Simon and Garfunkel had initially decided to call themselves Tom and Jerry.
2. The Itchy and Scratchy Show, which is a part of The Simpsons, is a tribute to Tom and Jerry. The Simpsons creator Matt Groening wanted this show, which Bart, Lisa and Maggie see on TV, to be a ‘cartoon within a cartoon’.
3. The producers of Who Framed Roger Rabbit wanted all cartoons, including Tom and Jerry, to appear in the film. However, Tom and Jerry could not be incorporated into the film due to legal hassles.
