According to the script, this was the opening sequence of a thriller in one of the most enduring franchises in the history of motion pictures. Which film is being talked about?

Nine answers, but only pritfloyd is wholly correct. Another anonymous answerer does answer Bond 17, which is the correct answer, but he is only partly correct. To several others, James Bond  has NEVER been the name of a film in this franchise!

True, that the 17th Bond film was Goldeneye, but there was talk before that of a third Bond film starring Timothy Dalton. It never materialised. It’s simply known as Bond 17 now. Some websites, however, attribute the name The property of a lady to it.
