A slightly cryptic one for today.
The developers of an immensely famous multimedia software attributed a very unusual development with their product to four reasons.
- X 5 combines the best aspects of X 2 and X 3 into one player. Hence X 2 + X 3 =
X 5! - [Y]
- We think that a Fibonacci sequence for versioning might be pretty damn cool.
- We improved so much in X 5 that we figured it warranted Z.
X is the name of the software. The third reason, Y, contains a somewhat NSFW pun, and Z is the unusual development. Give me all three.
Oh, and also, given below are the questions for Mind Your Business Quiz, edition 9, by yours truly. It is published every Friday in The Financial World, New Delhi edition.
Send in the answers to all questions via SMS to 09999777553 before 12 noon, January 17, and you could win a book!
Happy quizzing, and have a nice life, folks!

No answers again! X was Winamp, Y was ‘Because who would want to see ‘Winamp 4 skin’?’ Z was skipping a version. There was no Winamp 4 after Winamp 3. It went straight to Winamp 5.
